Travelling to Visual Art Exhibition Galleria fatahillah (Kota Tua Djakarta)

It's weekend again, this week my younger brother visits jakarta for vacation but this is the last day he spends his vacation here. Today, we visit Kota Tua jakarta and we don't expected that there is a visual art exhibition there. So, we don't think too much anymore, we visit it of course..

We're travelling by train and stopped at the Jakarta kota station. The Galleria Fatahillah at kota tua jakarta is nearby Jakarta kota station so, we just go on foot to get there. when  we arrived everything seemed so fun, there were a lot of people playing funny game like : ridding an old bicycle, taking pictures with a person who was dressed as liberty-style army or lord and lady of the past, and many more..

Visual Art Exhibition Galleria fatahillah is held at the post office building in front of Fatahillah museum. The Art Exhibition  is held on February 3 – May 3, 2015 Thursday – Friday at 09.00 AM – 19.00 PM and Saturday – Monday at 09.00 AM – 21.00 PM. Before to get in there  we have to buy a ticket first. It's IDR 40.000 for public visitors  and IDR 25.000 for student by showing student ID Card. fortunatelly, we have it and we got cheap ticket  :)

At the Visual Art Exhibition there were artwork of indonesian maestro such as Dake, Affandi, Henk Ngantung and many more. When we entered the exhibition hall we saw the paintings of the Indonesian maestro. We are amazed by the artwork. The artwork of paintings that’s shown seemed to be alive. We also saw the other artwork. a periscope, the artwork of Heri dono. The periscope is described of Batavia spice trading in the past and the others old cities in the world.

Here also shown a documentary film about jakarta in the past and the other interesting artwork we saw three donosaurus, these are the artwork of Heri dono as well. They described a parody of The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas that was created in the 17th century. The Three Donosaurus features the narcissistically cast body of the artist. Deformed into disproportionate size, the head is replaced by that of a dinosaur to denote how its DNA is still imprinted within humans that in this so-called civilized life we still engage in wars, violence, colonization, and other inhumane things. They were equipped with a digital gamelan music, it's very interesting.

These are some pictures that I took  there..
